Strategic Partnerships

System partnerships

Realizing software solutions means cooperating with colleagues in the IT sector.  Compex maintains strategic and technical partnerships with important software providers such as IBM and Oracle.  This leads to an early exchange of information between the partners, so that market trends in research and development can be anticipated.

On the pulse of trade

Compex is a supporting member of the EHI Retail Institute in Cologne.  The EHI Retail Institute e.V. is a research and training institute for trading enterprises and their partners.  The network consists of around 500 members across Europe, formed into working groups which regularly apply their knowledge in research work.

Technical innovations

As a Solution Member of the non-profit Eclipse Foundation, Compex supports the idea of common development activities across company boundaries.  In past years, Compex has already worked together with technology leaders in various areas, such as Vaadin Ltd from Finland and Lunifera GmbH from Austria.  Other partnerships are welcome.  Compex is also registered as a supporter of the OSGi Alliance.

Scientific partnerships

So that our products are always one step ahead, we have maintained for many years partnerships with universities and technical institutes in support of our research and development work.  These are the University of Heidelberg - Institute for Scientific Computing (IWR), for discrete optimization, supported by Germany's Federal Ministry for Research, the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Dept. of Computer Sciences, for business intelligence, the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Dept. of Business, the University of Muenster, Dept. of Computer Science and the University of Vienna, Dept. of Computer Science.

MBG: Recognizing and fostering Chances

In order to provide the right framework for research and development work, one needs the right partner for the financing.  Compex has found one in the MBG (Mittelstaendische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Wuerttemberg), the development and investment entity of the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The MBG is a publicly supported investment and development company and Germany's most frequent participatory investor.  The MBG has invested in Compex Systemhaus GmbH as a typical silent partner.  The goal of the MBG's partnerships is the targeted and long-term support of the sustainability of mid-sized companies in the state, through the sponsoring of successful projects in the area of continuing structural change.
